Yahoo IM 9

I am using XP with yahoo IM 9 from AT&T my friend is using yahoo IM 9 also. Here's my problem, while I am typing my messages show up twice in their IM box. Now I am not hitting send twice. So why are they getting my messages twice? They've uninstalled and installed IM still not clearing out the problem. I don't see my messages twice.

I've had this happen before. Typically it resolves on it's own in a day or so. Has it been going on longer than that?

This is a server-side issue that Yahoo is aware of but won't fix. It really won't matter what versions of Messenger you're using it'll randomly repeat every 7 seconds.

Messenger is suppose to respond to a pm key to stop the second response, it seems to work flawless on one set of servers and not the next, typical yahoo issue.

I'm sure they will get to it sooner or later, until then you could use a ALG like Ytk or ytunnel to allow you to select servers yourself and see which suits you best.

You could also try the new 10 build which is beta stickied above these threads.
