How do I get Yahoo IM 9 to open a chat session in a Restricted User account?
When I go to run Yahoo IM, in a restricted user account, I can sign in, and view other contacts and everything, except open a chat window and chat.
For comparison, Yahoo IM works fine, when I elevate the account privileges of this same account to admin (so I know I have all the right Windows services and browser security settings enabled). No errors or any other information appear in the system event log when I run Yahoo IM, in admin or in restricted. I also tried reinstalling the Yahoo client... but that didn't fix it either. If it makes a difference, I am running the latest version of Yahoo IM on Win2K with all the patches applied. Thanks! Last edited by IM4LIFE; 08-23-2009 at 04:10 PM. |

I doubt it will work in restricted mode proper
Restricted would restrict a lot of IE operations messenger depends on Irish Gaming - 1000+ Games and climbing! |
