We designed the new BigBlueBall.com with you in mind, making it easier to use, navigate, search and find the information you need. You no longer need to register to leave a comment, and you can easily subscribe to keep track of responses. If you use Facebook, you can sign-in directly using Facebook Connect.
Here is an overview of the changes

I really like the new look
But… the link to Polls Archive ( http://blog.bigblueball.com/pollsarchive ) on this page: http://www.bigblueball.com/site-news/the-new-bigblueballcom/ does not work.
(Actually, the only reason I tried that link was that I couldn’t figure how/where to VOTE on the current poll – does it apply only to signed in Members maybe ???)
Thanks, Eagle_Kiwi! You actually found an (ahem) “artifact” (read: “bug”) from when we moved the new design from our test site. It’s fixed now.
Also, you should be able to vote on that poll without being logged in, but it won’t allow multiple votes from the same IP address, except when coming from a unique, logged-in user.
Well well, it sure IS “fixed” already. Good stuff Jeff.
But hey, I STILL can’t find anywhere in that POLLS section in which to actually vote (unless perhaps I already did, and didn’t even notioce !?) . . but hey, no biggie.
Turns out the poll was closed! I’ve opened it back up through the end of March (by which time we’ll have much better poll.
The new BigBlueBall is lightyears ahead of the old BBB! Much easier to get around and it’s looking good.
I still see there’s some content that hasn’t come over like the smiley reference, the Trillian stuff, etc. Are you “done” or is there more coming?

G.mark, actually there is a BigBlueBall channel on our IRC server, and you can join others there (it’s more active in the evenings). There’s a link from the Community menu in the forums, or you can just navigate to http://www.bigblueball.com/irc/ for java-based IRC chat.
It’s actually looking good. 2 cents from me, if possible increase the number of posts on the front page..because your sidebar length is more then FP posts.
